Make a funeral presentation with AI: at The Last Farewell that means help with the work, not having the work taken from you. The assistant does not look at or judge your photos; which photos go in and in what order is up to you. A presentation takes time and attention, at a moment when a lot needs arranging at once. That is why, in the simple view of The Last Farewell, you work together with an assistant. It asks one question at a time, usually with buttons to choose from, and meanwhile prepares the parts of the service and the music. Next to the conversation you see the presentation take shape. So to make a funeral presentation with AI does not mean a computer decides what the farewell looks like: you decide, the assistant takes over the technical work.
How does the assistant work?
You start with one question: would you like to build the whole service, or only a photo presentation? Then the assistant goes through the parts with you: the entrance, a piece of music, a speaker, the photo presentation and the exit. Who is speaking, which song plays where? You answer in your own words or with a single click.
Photos and videos come from the shared collection: what you upload yourself and what family and helpers add. The assistant puts the photos in the part you choose, without looking at them, and works out how long each photo stays on screen, in exactly the same way as the advanced view. The entrance repeats until you stop it, and during a speaker the presentation waits for a click on each photo.
You can play the preview at any moment. Want to do something yourself? Switch to the advanced view with one click and back again. Nothing is lost: both views work on the same presentation.

What the assistant deliberately does not do
The assistant does not look at or analyse your photos. It only knows how many photos there are and whether a photo is portrait or landscape. Who is in a photo, how old someone is or what year it is from: it never judges that. You choose and order the photos yourself; the assistant explains how to do that in the overview.
Would you like the photos checked for blur or dark shots, or a suggestion for a portrait? Then the assistant first asks whether that is all right, and says what happens: an AI service looks at a reduced copy of your photos, only for sharpness, lighting and whether a photo suits as a portrait. We keep no copy, only the outcome, and the service does not use your photos to learn from. If you say no, nobody looks at your photos.
Only text that you give or approve appears on the slides. The assistant is a tool, not a replacement for your own choices. If you do not like a suggestion, just say so, or change it yourself.

If you choose a four-minute song for the photo presentation, the assistant spreads the photos over those four minutes. If there are too few, it tells you, so that no photo stays on screen awkwardly long.
Still looking for a suitable song? The assistant shows a few ideas with a short clip to listen to. You add the song itself as an MP3 file. If the music is not there yet, you can enter the length now and link the file later.
Important: In the advanced view you can also search and listen to music via Spotify and YouTube. The download always contains your own MP3 file.
